We will leave church at 5:00 instead of 4:30, to give families a little more time after school let’s out. Let us know if there are any problems getting to church. Things happen, and we are happy to wait for stragglers.
Looking forward to a great weekend with you guys! See you all soon.
Confirmation Students:
Visit the website for info on this weekend’s Confirmation Retreat. There’s a Packing List, an Itinerary and a map of where we’re headed. Click HERE to go to the page. Looking forward to this weekend!
Real Quick:
A mostly-done calendar of the fall semester is not up on the Calendar page. We’re still waiting for some Nov/Dec events to be finalized, but they should be added within a few days. Click HERE to go to the calendar page and download the PDF!
After a summer filled with camps, cabins, and sleeping till noon, the school year is back. While that stinks, your local youth group is here to get you through!
CrossRoads will be meeting every Friday evening, from 6pm to 7:30. Show up, bring a friend, and expect a time of fun/games/junk food. You’ve had a long week at school. We’re here to reward you.

Gathering Sunday is drawing near (September 11th), and Pastor Derek is looking for able-bodied… uh, bodies, I guess. We need help setting up chairs and tents before the service, and some to help watch kids on the Inflatable Thingers, after the service.
Let Dave or Derek know if you’re body is able enough to help! Thanks.
This is just a reminder that the summer schedule at Bethlehem has officially begun. This means a couple of things.
First, there will be no more Wonderful Wednesdays until Fall, and so there’s no weekly scheduled meetings. Since the activities and events we have will be at more sporadic intervals, I’m going to be emailing you more often, reminding and taking head counts so as not to waste people’s time with half-cocked activities. I know your summers are all pretty packed, and so I want to take full advantage of whatever times I can carve out with your kids. (In addition to Bethlehem activities, there’s a lot of Covenant Pines stuff, and I’m happy to field questions about that as well.)
Second, those formerly known as 5th Graders may now join the ranks of Bethlehem’s Middle Schoolers. We’re happy to have you. Also, to aid in your summer planning, a July-to-September calendar will be out shortly.
This is just a reminder that there will not be CrossRoads this evening. Next week is Good Friday, and the Friday after that we have a fundraiser for covenant Pines.
Also, the next time we have CrossRoads, in May, we’ll be starting a different format. More details to follow. Hope you all enjoy your weekend, see you on Palm Sunday!

Trying to get a final headcount for the CrossRoads Lock-In tonight! If you or your middle-schooler is planning on attending, I’d appreciate a short and sweet reply (friends welcome). I just need to make sure I’ve got enough tranquilizer darts! Details are on the website, here: http://crossroadyouth.org/upcoming-events/lock-in/
Thanks everyone.

Fellow Bethlehemians,
After sampling the roads this morning, I’m afraid I’m going to have to cancel the trip to Afton Alps today. The pile of snow is not quite cleared off of parts of 94, and there’s a healthy dose of sleet now covering it in the eastern metro. Sorry to have to do this; I thank you all for your interest and patience as we’ve waited this one out.
If anyone has questions or concerns, please let me know. However, for the morning, I’d be obliged if you’re call me on my wife’s cell phone (630-862-1686), as mine is very likely stuck in a drift lining my driveway. Sigh. Thanks again, everyone. Enjoy your snow day.
