Hey, we’ll stop having movie nights when they stop making movies we haven’t seen. Until then, we gather around screens and popcorn like depression-era bums around a barrel fire, heating our freezing hands in the warm glow of Whatever Pixar Released this Week. So drop by and join us. 6pm tonight until the closing credits toss us back into the real world.

Thanks to all of you who helped out last Sunday at our CHIC Brunch Fundraiser! We had more than 70 people through Fellowship Hall, fed most of them, and all without actually cooking a single thing. Oh, and we raised more than $1,200 dollars! It was also awesome to get to meet the Pope family. Sarah Pope will be joining us on our journey to Tennessee this summer, and we’re stoked to have her along for the ride! Also awesome on Sunday was the Fong family, who did all our shopping for us; we definitely appreciated that.
Remember gang: these things don’t come together by accident (very often), so pat yourself on the back, and think of ways to repeat the performance, because our Easter Brunch Fundraiser is a scant 33 days away!
Just a reminder that there’s no Jr. High program tonight, so you can all prepare yourselves for the fundraising madness that’s scheduled for tomorrow. Again, we’re expecting a lot of kids, so if you can help us out during Date Night, it’s definitely appreciated.
Hope to see you all then. Enjoy your Friday nights!
To All Interested in the CHIC Fundraiser this Saturday,
To Do:
Thanks for the help, to all you who will be lending a hand. Let me know if there are specific items you’d be willing to take care of.

Come one and all, all you who are looking to attend CHIC this summer, and help us raise some funds this Saturday. With Valentine’s Day fast approaching, we’re going to give parents of the world the chance to experience the rare and once-thought-to-be-extinct Date Night.
Parents can drop their kids off in Fellowship Hall from 5pm – 9:30pm. There, their children will run and play, while their parents can..well, run and play, I guess.

Just a reminder that there’s no CrossRoads tonight. My lovely wife and I are visiting family in Chicago, so we will resume things next week. Hope you all had a great holiday season. Time to pack those ugly sweaters away for another 10 months.
See You Soon,
Dave

Due to the sneezing/coughing/fever combo that I have been sporting for the last couple days, I’m unfortunately cancelling CrossRoads for this evening. You’re probably thinking “tough it up, whiner!” And if I weren’t so comfortable under these 7 blankets, nursing a bowl of chicken soup, and watching The Princess Bride, I’d probably take your advice.
Hope you all have a great weekend. I’ll definitely see you on Sunday. Probably. 90% chance.

Hey all you 6th-to- 8th-graders! It’s been a crazy month, with the Confirmation Retreat, the All-Church retreat, and the MEA Retreat. All that weekend activity has cut into our Friday night CrossRoads time a bit. But tomorrow we’re back in full force. So come as you are, bring your friends, and get ready to have an awesome Friday night at church!
